Real Links integration

Use the Real Links integration to motivate employees to contribute content, reward sharing behaviour, and distribute final videos more effectively.

With Real Links connected to Seenit, your organisation can recognise and incentivise the actions that matter most across employee storytelling campaigns, from contributing content to sharing finished videos. This helps teams increase participation, extend the reach of their content, and understand the impact employees are having when they share.

What this feature does

When Real Links is enabled for your workspace, Seenit can send activity events to Real Links. Real Links then applies your organisation’s rules to award points for eligible actions.

This helps you to:

  • encourage employees to contribute to projects and share finished content

  • reward the behaviours that matter most to your organisation

  • engage employees through gamification, recognition, and incentives

  • distribute final videos more widely across the business

  • track who is sharing, what reach they are generating, and the earned media value created by employee storytelling

This is especially useful when you create content with a smaller contributor group and then want to distribute the final video more broadly. For example, you might create with 10 contributors and then encourage 200 employees to share the final video.

How points are earned

Points can be awarded for actions such as:

  • viewing a shared project through an uploader link

  • uploading content to a project

  • sharing a video

Your Real Links admin can enable or disable these actions and decide how many points each one is worth.

Broader advocacy benefits

Alongside points and rewards, the advocacy workflow can help you increase participation and improve distribution across your organisation.

Automated reminders

You can set reminder schedules to prompt people to submit to a project or share the final video. These reminders can be delivered directly 1:1 through tools such as Teams or Slack.

Gamification and recognition

You can use leaderboards, gamification mechanics, and raffles to encourage participation. Employees can earn points for actions such as submitting content or sharing videos, which can support rewards and recognition programmes aligned to your company’s policies and values.

Identify your best advocates

You can see which employees are actively sharing content and driving reach. This can help you identify strong advocates to involve in future campaigns or invite as contributors to upcoming projects.

Smarter content strategy

You can use sharing and performance data to understand what content is resonating most strongly, then apply those insights to future employee content strategies.

Recruiter and employee enablement

Content can be hosted in a hub that employees can search and access. Recruiters can set preferences so the most relevant content appears first, helping them find assets that support recruiter enablement. Employees can also set the types of content they are interested in so that when a new project goes live or a final edit is created, relevant content can be shared with them.

How it works

  1. A user completes an eligible action in Seenit, such as viewing a linked uploader page, uploading content, or sharing a video

  2. Seenit sends that activity to Real Links

  3. Real Links checks which rules apply

  4. Real Links awards points based on your organisation’s configuration

Point values, eligibility rules, and reward structures are controlled in Real Links.

Where to see points and activity

Points are managed and displayed in Real Links.

To view points or activity history:

  1. Open Real Links

  2. Go to the points, rewards, or activity area in your Real Links account

The exact section name may vary depending on your organisation’s setup.

Requirements

  • Real Links integration must be enabled for your workspace

  • Your organisation must have Real Links rules configured for the actions you want to reward

Troubleshooting

I shared something but did not get points

  • Confirm the content was linked to Real Links

  • Allow a short period for points to appear in Real Links

  • Check whether that action is currently eligible for points in your organisation’s setup

  • For view-based points, confirm the view counted as a unique view in Real Links

I got fewer points than expected

  • Your organisation controls point values and eligibility rules in Real Links

  • Some actions may only award points once per item, per day, or per unique viewer, depending on your configuration

Who can change point values or rules?

Point values, reward rules, and eligibility settings are configured by your Real Links admin or the team that manages rewards and engagement settings.

FAQs

Does every share earn points?

Only shares for content that has been linked to Real Links, and that match your organisation’s configured rules, are eligible for points.

Do views always earn points?

Only unique views are eligible, and only if your organisation has enabled points for that action.

Where are points stored?

Points are stored in Real Links.

Can this be used for more than contributor rewards?

Yes. Teams can use this approach to encourage participation during content collection and to distribute final videos more widely after production.

Can I see who is helping content perform?

Yes. Sharing activity can help you understand who is sharing, what reach they are generating, and which employees are helping your content travel further.
