How do I join a Live Record session?

Updated this week

When joining a Live Record session, you'll either be a contributor (someone being recorded) or a host (someone guiding the recording). Most people will join as contributors, so let’s start there.

For contributors

Joining a Live Record session is simple and designed to help you feel confident and supported on camera. Here's how to get started:

1. Open the Live Record link

Your host will send you a special Live Record link. Click the link to begin.

2. Sign in to Seenit

You’ll be prompted to sign up or sign in. This helps us save your recordings to the project.

3. Join the Live Record room

Once signed in, you’ll be taken to the session room. If your host is already there, they’ll greet you and help guide the recording.

4. Choose a scene and record your take

Select a scene to record against. Your host can give you real-time feedback and help you deliver your best take.

5. Save or upload your take

After each take, choose to save/upload or delete and try again. You can record multiple takes if needed.

💡 Good to know:

  • If your internet cuts out, you can save your recording locally and upload it once you're reconnected.

For hosts

If you're running the session:

  • You’ll need to use the same Live Record link as your contributors to join the room.

  • Make sure you're signed in to Seenit before the session starts.

  • Once in the room, you can guide contributors, offer real-time direction, and suggest re-records to get the right content.

  • Each participant’s video is recorded separately for easier editing later.

Live Record is currently available on our Enterprise Beta and Pro Beta tiers
