How do approvals work?

Approval & roles

In your studio there are three role types:

In summary:

  1. Admins:

    1. Don't require approval to download or host edits, but can request it.

    2. Are the only user type who can approve other user's edits.

    3. Can download uploads.

  2. Producers:

    1. Don't require approval to download or host edits, but can request it.

    2. Cannot approve other user's edits.

    3. Can download uploads.

  3. Makers:

    1. Require approval to download or host edits.

    2. Cannot approve other user's edits.

    3. Can't download uploads.

In the studio

The approval section sits on the Edits page, against each edit you create. Depending on your role, you will see different options as outlined above.

Notifications

Users will be notified via email when you request approval or make a change. Users are highlighted at each stage for you to select who to send the edit to for approval. You can also share the link on your existing messaging platform, such as Teams or Slack.
