Editing B-Roll overlays
Once youโve added B-Roll in the Smart Editor, you can fine-tune it to fit your video. You can trim clips, adjust audio, crop visuals, or even replace or detach overlays to get the perfect look and feel.
Trimming a B-Roll overlay
In the timeline, select the B-Roll clip.
Click Trim Overlay to open the overlay trimmer.
Adjust the in and out points or reposition it relative to your main clip.
Click Done.
Adjusting B-Roll audio
By default, B-Roll audio is muted (0%). To adjust:
Select the Clip settings tool.
Use the volume slider to set your preferred audio level.
Preview, then click Apply.
Cropping a B-Roll clip
Select the B-Roll clip in the timeline.
Click Crop Clip.
Choose Fit Screen or Fill Screen.
Click Apply.
Replacing or detaching B-Roll
To change the B-Roll
Select the B-Roll clip.
Click Change Overlay and choose a replacement from Library, Upload, or Record.
Trim and position as needed.
To detach the overlay
Select the B-Roll clip.
Click Detach Overlay.
The clip will be removed from its overlay position and moved to the end of your timeline as a standalone asset.
